PG's Chef/Proprietor Tommy Klauber is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He then traveled and studied abroad, receiving his diploma from La Varenne's Ecole De Cuisine in Paris, France. He gained experience in fine restaurants in Paris, Florence and Amsterdam before returning to his family's business - The Colony Beach & Tennis Resort, where he worked as executive chef and food and beverage director, with responsibility for the operation of the Colony's award-winning restaurants, banquet and catering operations, and gourmet market.

Klauber was instrumental in establishing The Colony Spring Wine Fair, The Colony's Stone Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival and served on the founding committee of The Florida Winefest & Auction, now the third largest charity food and wine event in the country.

Prior to opening PG'S in 1998, Klauber opened and was chef/owner at Gieusseppi Wong in Aspen. This uniquely inspired restaurant served an ingenious combination of Italian and Chinese fare.

Klauber has received numerous accolades including being recognized in "Chefs in America" as one of the outstanding chefs in the U.S., receiving the James Beard Foundation "Rising Stars of American Cuisine" Award.
